​Dr Goddard trained at Rhodes University in South Africa, spent a number of years teaching literature at universities in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, before moving up to the Middle East in 2010.  Since then he has been a teacher at JUC.  His reading and research interests include literature, post-colonial culture and language development.

​​I am Dr. Youcef Boufelgha. Born in Algeria, I travelled to France after obtaining a Bachelor degree in English Language from the University of Constantine (Algeria) in 1994. I pursued my post-graduation studies in English at the University of Paris Sorbonne first then at the University Stendhal III of Grenoble where I obtained my M.A. degree in English Language in 2001. I ended my university formation with a Ph.D. degree obtained in 2005 from the same university. After working as Assistant Professor of English Language and of American Civilization in France and in Algeria from 2005 to 2008, I joined JUC as English lecturer. I also served on the executive for the English Language Department for four consecutive years.

Mike holds a B.Com degree with majors in Accounting, Management and Information Systems from Rhodes University, South Africa, and a CELTA (pass grade B) and a Certificate in Teaching English Online. He was a high school educator in South Africa before embarking on teaching ESL/EFL overseas.

Mike has been teaching English in the Prep Year Programme at JUC since August 2007. He is presently the head of the Testing Committee (PYP), and previously held the portfolios of Recruiting Coordinator and Head of Special Programmes. Mike taught ESL at school (1 year elementary, 2 years junior high) and university levels (part time) in Taiwan. He has a wide range of experience in ESL and has taught students of all age groups and levels, from absolute beginners to upper intermediate. Mike also has 20+ years adult training experience in various industries​.

Mr. Raza Sheikh is an instructor in the Department of English. He completed his Master of Arts in TESOL from the University of Technology Sydney Australia. He has a number of years of experience in teaching English to students from various backgrounds. He has been teaching at Jubail University College since 2008. His interests span a number of areas including creative writing, digital learning, literacy and language, TOEFL iBT, and innovative classroom practices.

​Mr. I. Davids was born in South Africa where he studied and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies in 1989. He also studied TEFL/ TESOL and completed the course in 1999. He has extensive experience teaching at different institutions and levels, primary, secondary and college. Mr. Davids decided to make a conscious decision to come and teach in Saudi Arabia where he has been teaching English at all levels since 2007.​

​Mr. M Van Der Berg began his career teaching English in 1990. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree and a post graduate diploma in teaching English in 1989, he taught English as a second language in his native country, South Africa until 2006. His sojourn in 2007 – 2008 was well spent in South Korea. There he taught English as a foreign language. The experience of teaching English to speakers of a foreign language laid the foundation for the next phase of his foreign language teaching career. He joined Jubail University College in September 2008. At JUC he held the position of coordinator and taught specialist courses for Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). He has been teaching the PYP since the start of his initial contract in 2008​.

Dr. Carlo Domingo C. Casinto currently serves as a Lecturer and concurrently as Quality Assurance Coordinator of the English Department of Jubail University College (JUC). Formerly, he has served as the Course Director of the preparatory year program of the department. Before serving JUC, he has served as Assistant Professor of the Languages and Literature Department of the University of the Immaculate Conception, the Philippines for 10 years. During those years, he has taught as professorial lecturer of the post graduate programs of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) and University of Mindanao (UM). In 2007, he taught as Visiting International Faculty at the senior high school program of Northampton County School, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, U.S.A.

 

Dr. Casinto holds a bachelor degree in English and Communication Arts, a master of arts degree in Education, and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. He has attended internship trainings with National Institute of Education (NIE) in Singapore and Universiti Malaya in Malaysia. His research interests are: curriculum development, instructional materials development, and instructional pedagogy.​

Mr. Muhammad Wasim latif has a wide range of teaching experience at the tertiary level.  Before coming to Saudi Arabia, he remained associated with The University of Central Punjab (Punjab Group of Colleges- The Faculty of Commerce), & The Minhaj University-Lahore, Pakistan in the capacity of a lecturer in English for four and three years respectively. He taught English language & literature to graduate and under graduate students. He joined JUC in 2008, and since then he has been working here as an EFL instructor. From September 2012 to September 2014, he had additional responsibilities of Quality Assurance Coordinator. In September 2014, he was promoted to the position of Prep Year Program Director. As PYP Director, he is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the academic and administrative affairs of the Program in coordination with the department chairperson. He holds an M.A. degree in English Language & Literature, a Post Graduate Diploma in English Language Teaching, and a Certificate of Attendance in TEFL. His research interests include Second language acquisition, teacher education, language pedagogy, & language testing and assessment.

Mr Saeed Elmobarak Osman is an English Instructor in the Prep Year Program at Jubail University College (JUC).  He is originally trained in, and had practiced, US law, and before that worked in banking and finance operations on Wall Street.  Saeed began teaching oral English in Chinese universities.  He has experience teaching various English-based courses, as well as IELTS writing, to students intending to pursue MBAs in the US and UK.  His Saudi teaching experience began in Riyadh in 2012.  He has an AAS in Finance and Banking (Manhattan, NY), a BA in Economics (Brooklyn, NY), a Juris Doctor degree (Washington, DC), and a TESOL certificate (Surabaya, Indonesia).​

​Alfred Wilde began his career teaching English as a second or other language (ESOL) with International House World Organisation in 1994.  Alfred is well qualified in ESOL teaching; he has a Cambridge CELTA  a Postgraduate certificate in EAP, a Diploma in specialist TESOL research, and an M.A. in TESOL.  Alfred currently teaches on the preparatory English program at Jubail University College and also teaches specialist courses for Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and IELTS courses.​

​Dr. Ernesto R. Ader, Jr. has 19 years of teaching English at different levels (high school, Tertiary, and Graduate) under his belt. ​Mr. Beni earned his B.S. at the University of Windsor, Canada. He continued his education at St. Clair College (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) and Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A) earning several prerequisites towards the M.Ed. In addition, he successfully passed the M.T.T.C (Michigan Test for Teacher Certification) and obtained a W.S.R.T (Wayne Resa Substitute Teaching) certificate.  He decided to continue his education in the ESL field by embarking on a journey throughout Asia and has been active in this area, since 2005. During this time he has earned three TEFL certificates (TEFL International-practicum, China TEFL-practicum and ICAL TEFL-virtual learning) and several EPIK (English Program in Korea-practicum) certificates issued by the South Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

His teaching experience includes pre-school level up to adult level English classes.  He has taught in China and in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Beni believes that learning is a lifelong endeavour. I have been teaching English for over 20 years in the UK and the Middle East.  I came to Saudi Arabia in the latter end of the 1990s as a teacher and student.  I have taught a wide range of English language areas from ESP for Military to Prep-Year English for Academic purposes.  I have run English language training centres, been the director of a training company, an educational consultant and have worked with government organisations over the years.

I completed an MA in TEFL online in the early part of 2006 and I am working towards another MA in Digital Education.  This will, I hope, push me towards my PHD in the same field if I feel the need.  I have also completed a diploma in TEFL with YL endorsement and I am an active member of KSAALT.​

Mr. Adan holds a Bachelors' Degree in Economics and stated his desire to teach, straight after graduating, at a local institute in London.

He completed his CELTA in 2011 and came out to Saudi Arabia teach in Riyadh on the King Saud Preparatory Year Programme in 2012. He has enthusiasm for all things linguistic and speaks fluent French, Arabic and Somali.
